URBAN FELONIES
Not respecting the applicable use of land or allowing others to do this is a felony as per to the Criminal Code of Quintana Roo. But we have found such Code missing the correct terminology and having an inconsistency: promoting sales of developments that have no permits is a felony without a consequence. We have won the lawsuit we filed against Congress for this and they must correct the inconsistency. But we want to a) have citizens learn the terrible consequences of not taking seriously these felonies and b) amend the Code to include other situations where it’s the authority whose omission affects everyone´s environment in Quintana Roo.
More than twenty trials and eight years suing in the name of the environment have allowed us to make a proposal worthy of Quintana Roo´s citizens and we need everyone involved. This is the #LeySolimán.
