WHO WE ARE
We are the legal arm of the citizens that protect the environment.
We provide information so that the community can protect their right to a healthy
environment through legal means. Our purpose: that everyone enjoys and participates in
the conservation of our natural resources in a safe and secure environment.
Defendiendo el Derecho a un Medio Ambiente Sano, A.C.
(DMAS) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-partisan organization created in November 2017 in Cancún, Mexico, under the basic premise of empowering people and communities through actions that promote and defend their right to enjoy a healthy environment for their development and well-being.
We are a group of legal professionals and, above all, citizens convinced of the importance of making available to any individual or community, free of charge, all means of defense and legal precedents for the active defense of their legitimate right to enjoy a healthy environment.

We use legal mechanisms to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and combat any abuses that threaten our environment. Our work focuses on making justice accessible to citizens.
Collaboration with other organizations
We forge alliances with civil society organizations, universities, and experts to amplify our impact and strengthen the environmental fight. These synergies allow us to address problems with knowledge and technical support.
Empowering citizens
We believe in the power of citizen participation. We educate, inform, and motivate the community to actively engage, providing tools so that everyone can take a proactive role in defending their environment.
